 The Scout Eco is an inflatable canoe of a typical Canadian shape, however with a fully modern design. The main advantages are the comfort equipment, a huge space inside, high load, well-balanced riding characteristics and excellent speed both on smooth and white water (up to WW3). That all will be appreciated by adventurers during their long trips with a bigger baggage, by adrenaline hunters when riding rapids and even by families with children during their restful trips.

Having owned and loved my tough Gumotex Sunny for several years I was looking to find something bigger and easier to get in and out of. The Scout Eco has lived up to my expectations. It's no athlete on the water but tracks OK and is very robust and stable. Harder work than a rigid canoe but the convenience outweighs that for me. It's inflated in 10 mins and is only 24kg as against 35kg+ for most similar-sized rigid canoes. Easy to fit in the back of the car and dries in 5 minutes. Massive capacity. The build quality is very good (as I've found with all Gumotex products). I wouldn't recommend the "roped" seats, though, and have modified mine by attaching each seat with 4 M6 stainless bolts and star nuts as in the top level model. I also made foam pads for all the seats. Great value and service from SolelyMarine, whom I thoroughly recommend. Four stars for the Scout - took one off for the slightly sluggish handling and for the seat attachment system.
